Rajeev Khandelwal, the former Sujal of Kahiin To Hoga, who currently plays RAW officer Ali in Time Bomb, wants to keep a low profile on his birthday tomorrow, October 16.

“I am not the type who hosts pompous parties. In fact, I don’t even celebrate my birthdays normally. My cherished birthday gift this time would be my father being discharged from hospital over the weekend, after his cardiac surgery,” explains the actor.

Fan clubs and adulation

“This time, my swooning female fans have requested me to stay in Mumbai because they want me to open their gifts and cards on October 16.

Already, my apartment is resembling a gifts and cards shop. It is so overwhelming that my loyal fans have formed large groups and clubs, although I am just two-serials old,” smiles Khandelwal.

Shares birthday with Hema

Rajeev shares his birthday with dream girl Hema Malini. “Isn’t she the most beautiful and graceful screen diva? I consider myself lucky that we have at least something in common,” he quips.
 

Knowing Rajeev detests lavish birthday celebrations, Time Bomb unit has planned a surprise birthday treat for their serial hero over the weekend. “We are planning to get a special cake. But it will all be on an austere note, keeping his sentiments in mind,” discloses Nupur, who assists Ketan Mehta in direction.
